Conformance status
This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. It is tested with automated accessibility checks (axe-core) and manual keyboard and screen-size checks, and the colour-contrast pairs used across the site are asserted by the build's test suite. Automated testing cannot catch every barrier, so the known limitations are listed below — and if you find anything this statement does not cover, please tell us.
Known limitations
- Urdu text appears as names and section headings beside the English content; most of the site's detailed text is in English only. A full Urdu version is not yet available.
- Some links lead to other Government of the Punjab websites — the Right to Information portal, the provincial careers portal, and DEAG guidance and forms. Those sites are run by other departments and may not fully meet the same standard.
- On small screens the navigation menu opens with a button that needs JavaScript. If JavaScript is unavailable, the footer links still move you between pages.
Keyboard navigation
The first Tab stop on every page is "Skip to main content". The site defines no other keyboard shortcuts, and a visible focus outline marks the element you are on.
- Tab
- Move to the next link, button or control.
- Shift+Tab
- Move to the previous link, button or control.
- Enter
- Follow the focused link or activate the focused control.
- Space
- Activate the focused button — for example, the menu button on a small screen.
- Escape
- Close the mobile navigation menu and return focus to the menu button.
